FM Towns’ self releases his third single Goddess of the Season is out on 19th February; following the recently tracks Sleep For Another Year and Sweet William.

A songwriter and musician from Suffolk, now residing in West London and recording in a cupboard studio; FM Towns explains, “my teenage years were made bearable by an FM radio walkman which accompanied him through the grey and green detachment of small-town rural England.”

“This track tells the story of an “imagined love affair that takes place amongst the mysterious new houses that are popping up in a small-town housing estate”.  It melds an acoustic Bossanova rhythm with 12-string guitars and lush falsetto harmonies.

The artist suggests track takes on a number of influences from the likes of The Smiths, The Beach Boys and Sparks. It actually takes me back to the 1980’s. I can imagine it being played by Annie Nightingale on a Sunday evening between tracks from Steve McQueen era Prefab Sprout and Nick Laird-Clowes Dream Academy.
