10 times artists shared hilarious memes about themselves

Memes about your favorite band are fantastic, but it’s even better when they’re the ones who share or make them.

In December, Nickelback fed into the memes the internet has made about one of their hit songs for years and created their own.

Nickelback released the iconic “Photograph” nearly two decades ago, but the internet has not let this song go by the wayside. Twitter, Instagram and TikTok are chockfull of memes and parodies of the rock track.

Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger and his fellow bandmates are not upset with this attention and actually joined in on the joke, too. In fact, the band even worked with Google Photos to release a “Photograph” parody that was definitely a highlight of 2020.

They aren’t the only ones who love poking fun at themselves. Several scene favorites have a great sense of humor and posted memes that are hilariously accurate and clever. Check out 10 hilarious band memes shared by the artists themselves below.

Fall Out Boy‘s own Pete Wentz is always down to put smiles on his fans’ faces. He shared a post where a follower Photoshopped his face onto Chrissy Teigen‘s face, along with a huge chicken nugget. Don’t think too hard about the “why” of the photo and just enjoy this insane picture.

Weezer

The Blue Album by Weezer is so iconic that they couldn’t help but share this rendition featuring the “Fab Five” from Netflix‘s Queer Eye. One word to describe this meme: gorg!

The Maine

The Maine aren’t strangers to sharing their funny side on social media. This meme involves a photo taken at the APMAs where frontman John O’Callaghan shares insane Kurt Cobain vibes. That means Pat Kirch is the Dave Grohl lookalike.
