Bam Margera asks fans to boycott ‘Jackass 4’ after he was allegedly fired

It looks like Bam Margera may not be appearing in Jackass 4 after all.

Earlier this week, Margera shared a now-deleted video on Instagram asking fans to boycott the movie after allegedly being fired.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, production for the highly-anticipated Jackass 4 was shut down. However, according to Steve-O, the cast was able to get some filming done before the shutdown. In fact, both Steve-O and Johnny Knoxville performed a stunt so dangerous, both of them ended up in the hospital during the first days of filming.

Then, in December, Steve-O and Margera gave Jackass fans the wholesome reunion they all needed. The pair were photographed at dinner together, seemingly proving the cast was getting along well despite filming delays.

Now, it looks like Margera may not appear in Jackass 4 at all. In a lengthy video that has now been deleted, Margera seemingly reveals the movie is going ahead with his ideas, but without him. As well, he asks fans to boycott the film and donate to a Venmo account to help him make a movie of his own.

“I wrote them so many ideas and if I’m not in the movie and they use my ideas, how do you think that will make me feel?….But fuck man, I’m not in Jackass 4? If anybody cares about me, don’t go see their movie because I will make mine way fucking radder if you just Venmo me a dollar.”

Throughout the video, Margera references his past struggles with substance abuse. According to him, Paramount and Jackass executives made him take frequent drug tests and get on anti-depressants.

“Jackass does not care about me, understand that ladies and gentlemen,” he continues. “I’m skating again because I’m off the pills Paramount made me take on film every morning causing me to be dizzy as fuck with stiff muscles and suicidal tendencies. Were they just trying to keep me at bay? What were they doing? Who do they think that they are? Boycott Jackass.”

Elsewhere in the video, Margera opens up about his thoughts of suicide and says he’s gone as far as to Google how to tie a noose. According to TMZ, Margera admitted to “chugging a glass of wine and 7 beers” before posting the video on social media.

So far, Jackass 4 has not confirmed if Margera has actually been fired from the project. Currently, the film is slated to arrive on Sept. 3, 2021.
