Bring Me The Horizon just made their Live Lounge debut in perfect style, closing out BBC’s Radio 1 “Live Lounge Month.”
The Sheffield five-piece performed a stripped-down version of their latest single “DiE4u” and also gave their own cover of 24kGoldn and iann dior’s viral hit “Mood.”

After an arena tour of the U.K., Bring Me The Horizon brought “DiE4u” to the Live Lounge. The single is a first glimpse of their forthcoming EP that will follow the POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR series, which is set to come out early next year.
Their acoustic version of “DiE4u” shed a more profound light on the lyrics of the song, placing an emphasis on its melancholic undertones that surround Oli Sykes’ battle with addiction.
Sykes recently spoke on how much weight the track carries for him. “The song is a triumphant and emotional one for me because it was a time of realization to kick the things that were no good and to take the choice in bettering myself,” Sykes explains. ”It also connects to a deeper theme about us as a society and how we need to look at the way we treat ourselves, each other, as well as the world.”

Following that track, Bring Me The Horizon lit up the BBC Live Lounge stage with their cover of “Mood.” When asked why the band decided on covering this specific song, Sykes admits that it was the one that stood out the most on a long list of tracks that were sent to him.
“I really loved that song. In fact, when we were writing for this new record, some of that kind of sound was influencing songs like ‘DiE4u,’” Sykes says. “So I was quite familiar with it, and I really loved the track, and it’s just so catchy as well.
“It felt like we could do something a little bit more in our world with it,” he adds. The band did exactly that, creating a much heavier sound paired with Sykes’ trademark vocals.
