Grimes says she is “enjoying” recovery after contracting COVID-19

Over the weekend, Grimes revealed that she has tested positive for coronavirus.

The singer announced her diagnosis in a statement. However, a few of her comments are earning mixed responses from people online.

Earlier this year, Grimes’ partner Elon Musk thought he had contracted coronavirus after experiencing symptoms. However, Musk quickly fell under fire when he questioned the effectiveness of the rapid COVID-19 tests. As a result, the internet gave him the viral nickname “Space Karen.”

Similarly, Grimes is earning some mixed responses after announcing her COVID-19 diagnosis over the weekend. On her Instagram Story, she says she is “weirdly enjoying” recovery after contracting the virus.

“Finally got COVID, but weirdly enjoying the Dayquil fever dream 2021.”

Naturally, her statement has sparked a slew of responses online. Most fans are sending Grimes get well wishes. However, others are raising their eyebrows over Grimes’ apparent depiction of an easy recovery when COVID-19 has killed nearly 373,000 people in the United States alone.
