It looks like all of those rumors and speculation were true. Hayley Williams has finally confirmed her second solo album FLOWERS for VASES/descansos is officially on the way.

On Wednesday, the Paramore frontwoman unveiled the album’s official cover art and release date. As well, she revealed just how FLOWERS for VASES/descansos is unlike anything she has ever done before.

At the end of last month, various cryptic clues emerged that led to speculation Hayley Williams is planning to release another solo album called Flowers For Vases. Along with her website redirecting to flowersforvases.com, fans began receiving mysterious packages from Williams with doll parts hidden inside.

Then, after debunking one Flowers For Vases Instagram page, Williams posted another cryptic clue that eventually led to the release of her new song “My Limb.” The Paramore frontwoman hand-delivered a CD of the song to a fan’s Nashville home and asked them to leak the new track to the whole world.

Of course, the release of “My Limb” led to even more speculation a full-length album is on the way. Then, earlier this week, Williams unveiled even more clues including the audio of haunting new ballad.

On Wednesday, fans seemingly discovered the release date for Flowers For Vases.  According to one source, which was shared on the r/Paramore Reddit thread, Flowers For Vases arrives on Feb. 5 and has 14 tracks including “My Limb” and “Find Me Here.” The latter song appears on Williams’ Petals For Armor: Self-Serenades EP which was released last year. As well, some of the other reported tracks on the album are “Asystole,” “Just A Lover” and “Good Grief.”

Now, Williams has officially confirmed that FLOWERS for VASES/descansos is arriving on Friday, Feb. 5. She shared the album’s official artwork on Instagram.

She also took to Instagram to give more context about the upcoming album. Although FLOWERS for VASES / descansos is arriving after Petals For Armor, it’s more of a prequel to her debut solo album.

“This isn’t really a follow-up to Petals For Armor,” she says. “If anything, it’s a prequel, or some sort of detour between parts 1 and 2 of Petals. Whatever it is, it has two names: ‘Flowers For Vases’ and ‘descansos.’”

She goes on to say that she wrote and performed all of the music on this album, a career first for her. As well, she recorded the entire LP in her home in Nashville.

“I wrote and performed this album in its entirety. That’s a career first for me. I recorded it at my home in Nashville, the home at which I’ve resided since Paramore released After Laughter.”

Williams also takes the time to respond to those Paramore break up rumors again by saying “yes, Paramore is still a band.”
