SUSTO’s Justin Osborne describes “Double Rainbow” as “equal parts prayer and manifesto”—one with an “unapologetically pro-psychedelic narrative.” The song never made the cut for a single following last year’s release of Time In The Sun (New West). But it’s since taken on a life of its own live, bolstered by its communal vibe and beast of a sing-along chorus.

The video for “Double Rainbow” positions a likeness of Joy Of Painting host Bob Ross at the center of its hyper-surreal narrative. “I’ve known (filmmaker) Luke Pilgrim for a long time, so I knew the song was in good hands when the Sozo Bear team agreed to make this video with us,” says Osborne, who formed SUSTO in Charleston, S.C., in 2013. “I love the storyline they came up with, and how it represents the transformative nature of psychedelics. I got covered in paint—twice—for this shoot, which was more of an uncomfortable experience than I’d anticipated. But it was worth it.”

MAGNET is proud to premiere SUSTO’s “Double Rainbow” video today.
