MGK and YUNGBLUD’s new collab is being compared to Metro Station

It’s been almost two months since MGK, YUNGBLUD and Barker surprise dropped “acting like that” ahead of the release of YUNGBLUD’s new album weird!. Then, last week, the trio teamed up for a zombie-filled video for the collab that has a very unexpected ending.
Now, it looks like fans are noticing a similarity between “acting like that” and the Metro Station hit “Shake It.” Earlier this week, TikTok user @drettysnapped shared a video comparing the two songs. As it turns out, both tracks have a very similar beat pattern in the chorus, causing them to sound a lot alike.
However, @drettysnapped isn’t the only listener to notice the similarity. Since the release of “acting like that,” fans have been tweeting that they also think the two songs sound very similar.

At this time, it’s unknown if YUNGBLUD, Machine Gun Kelly and Metro Station are aware of the comparisons that are being made. In the meantime, both the “acting like that” and “Shake It” videos are available to stream below.
