Nirvana wins lawsuit against Nevermind coverAllegations of child sexual abuse are dismissed by a US judge.

Spencer Elden is an American painter, model and artist, who is also known as Nirvana Nevermind Baby. When Elden was just a few months old, his parents received a call from underwater photographer Kirk Weddle, looking for a newborn baby to feature in a photoshoot for Nirvana’s album. At the time, Elden’s father was assisting with props for professional photographers, which is how he got to know Weddle. In 2021, Spencer filed against the members of the band as well as Courtney Love and Weddle, stating that the iconic Nevermind cover caused him great distress. The artist emphasised that as a child he had been unable to give his consent for participation in the photoshoot.

According to The Guardian, US judge Fernando Olguin dismissed the case, indicating that it was filed past the 10-year statute of limitations.
