This week, Prime Minister Boris Johnsonunveiled the government’s intent to ease out of COVID-19 lockdown restrictions. Currently, England has a four-step plan that could lead to all limits being lifted by June 21. However, this is all dependent on keeping coronavirus cases low and continuing to vaccinate citizens.
Based on these new plans, Reading & Leeds is able to go on as scheduled this August. On Wednesday, organizers confirmed that this year’s events will take place Aug. 27-29.
Now, it looks like concert goers are scrambling to get tickets. On Friday, it was announced that Reading Festival is completely sold out. As well, only Friday and Sunday day tickets for Leeds are available. Tickets for Saturday, which features headliner Stormzy, sold out shortly after the 2021 festival confirmation.
This year, Reading & Leeds are doing things a bit differently. For the first time ever, there will be two main stages – Main Stage East and Main Stage West. As well, there will be no scheduling clashes so you can watch all of this year’s headliners without having to choose.

Along with Reading & Leeds, Slam Dunk is also set to happen later this year. Due to England’s new COVID-19 plans, the festival was forced to postpone its May events until later this year. Now, Slam Dunk 2021 is officially happening this September.
