It’s Friday which means All Time Low‘s surprise new collab with Demi Lovato and blackbear is finally here.

Together, the artists teamed up for a new version of “Monsters” which is accompanied by a spooky new animated lyric video full of, of course, monsters, vampires, werewolves and more.

All Time Low, Demi Lovato and blackbear raised eyebrows this week after they shared cryptic posts on social media. All of the posts included similar artwork to one another, causing fans to theorize that a new collab was possibly in the works. After All Time Low captioned their Twitter post as “just a bunch of monsters,” it was speculated that a new version of “Monsters” may be on the way.

Then, on Thursday, All Time Low confirmed that the speculation was true. The band recently joined forces with Demi Lovato to release a new version of their blackbear collab “Monsters.”

Alex Gaskarth also revealed that this collaboration with Lovato has been a decade in the making.

“Let’s goooooo!! Celebrating this song by getting another REAL one to absolutely shred it with us feels v v nice. A collab ten years in the making. Big @ddlovato”

Now, the new version of “Monsters” is finally here. On Friday, All Time Low unveiled the new collaboration with a spooky new lyric video. Lovato’s distinctively powerful vocals can be heard throughout the second half of the song, adding a new element that elevates the track to a whole new level.

In the animated lyric video, Gaskarth can be seen going on a haunting journey full of encounters with various monstrous creatures. With a vampiresque blackbear and spooky ghoul versions of Rian Dawson, Jack Barakat and Zack Merrick, Gaskarth soon finds himself transforming into a horrifying creature he never thought he’d be.

Gaskarth shares that All Time Low and Lovato have been friends for years. Together, they hope this reimagination of “Monsters” will continue to connect the ATL fanbase worldwide.

“Demi’s been a friend for a long time,” he says. “And we’re really excited that she was down to lend her absolutely incredible voice to this song as we reimagine it and continue to celebrate all the ways it’s connecting with fans around the world.”

All Time Low and blackbear have achieved great success with “Monsters” after the release of Wake Up, Sunshine. The song eventually went on to peak at No.1 on Alternative Radio. This feat marks All Time Low’s first-ever No.1 at radio. As well, the song topped the Modern Rock chart for a staggering 11 weeks. The success of “Monsters” eventually led to All Time Low’s network television debut performance on Good Morning America.

In the past, Lovato has teamed up with a few artists in the scene including We The Kings for “We’ll Be A Dream” and Fall Out Boy for “Irresistible.” Most recently, blink-182‘s Travis Barker produced an emo rock remix of her hit single “Love Me.”

As well, this new collab with All Time Low and Lovato is the newest of many to come from blackbear in 2020. blackbear recently joined forces with Machine Gun Kelly on “my ex’s best friend.” The Tickets To My Downfall song went on to peak at No.1 on Billboard‘s Alternative Digital Songs Sales chart. As well, the duo performed the song during this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
