Nobody will ever forget Kanye West shading Taylor Swift at an awards show. Kanye West was likely banned from the Grammys despite his past wins. Rapper Azealia Banks recently talked to The Guardian’s Shaad D’Souza for an interview, in which she criticised Kanye West. She called him an “abusive asshole” and said that he has made it “so garbage to be an entertainer with any opinion.” Banks also discussed the political state of the United States, the music industry, hate from social media and her dislike for Los Angeles and her newfound love of Florida.

In the interview, Banks talked about Kanye’s 2020 presidential run. He stood on stage and told the crowd that he and his ex-wife Kim Kardashian had considered aborting their eldest daughter. Banks said Ye was a “fucking idiot” for “basically sacrificing the mental health of [his] daughter.” Banks also discussed how Kanye would “talk shit” about Kardashian when they had just started dating.

Banks was asked in the interview if she thinks Kanye would be able to redeem himself, ever. She replied with a negative. “I would hope not,” she said. “Because you have had it very fucked up for a very long time.” Banks also criticised Ye’s Christian fundamentalism.

The rapper did not hold back. She slammed West for his recent anti-semitic views and praise of Hitler, saying “Kanye, did you know that the Bible was the very book used to enslave your dumb ass? Have you ever read the Bible? I’m sure you haven’t. ‘Oh, Hitler was a good guy’ – do you think Hitler liked negroes? It’s way past shock culture and just into stupidity. You deserve to reap what you sow.”

Azealia Banks recently wrapped her tour of Australia. It didn’t go exactly as planned. She cancelled a Brisbane show and had to reschedule her Melbourne show at the last minute. She even called the entire tour a scam.
