The Cult share new song – A Cut InsideA Cut Inside is a new single from the gothic rockers’ forthcoming album Under The Midnight Sun.

On the new album, the band celebrates the forces of nature and pagan mysticism that supplements them. Inspired by the midnight sun, Ian Astbury sings: “No heathens in heaven/ No sweet surrender/ Outsiders forever/ Ghosts of our lives”.

The video incorporates picturesque scenes depicting floating lava, potentially from a volcano of Icelandic origin. Thus, the meaning of the song’s title extends to interpretations that hint at things other than just a physical injury.

Apart from the aforementioned single, the album will include seven other tracks (eight in total) – Mirror, Vendetta X, Give Me Mercy, Outer Heaven, Knife Through Butterfly Heart, Impermanence, Under The Midnight Sun.

Under the Midnight Sun will be released on 7 October via Black Hill Records. The album can be pre-ordered here.
