Irish post-punk collective details the new record and shares the new single A Thousand Lives.
Gigi’s Recovery is the second album by The Murder Capital following their 2019 debut When I Have Fears. The first signpost to the forthcoming record is A Thousand Lives, the single accompanied by Tommy Davies’s video. With the drum pattern hinting at Radiohead’s Weird Fishes, the song slowly builds up and seemingly reflects on the complexity of life. The lyrics emphasise the necessity of an in-full-swing experience: “A thousand lives with you and I won’t be enough”.
Gigi’s Recovery will come out on 20 January 2023 via Human Season.
