Last night at the Los Angeles date of the HOLY FVCK tour, Demi Lovato threw it back to 2004, covering Ashlee Simpson’s fiery pop-punk hit “La La.”  For the momentous occasion, they enlisted the pop starlet herself to join them on stage for an electrifying performance. Check out the clip below.

Fans at the YouTube theater in Los Angeles were able to witness the two vocal powerhouses trade off every line from the now-iconic early aughts hit. Simpson, who has notably been absent from live performances since 2019, hit the stage for the first time in nearly three years– and the audience seemingly welcomed her back with open arms.

Currently, Lovato is in the midst of their tour supporting the release of their hard rock-tinged new album HOLY FVCK, which was released in August. Supporting Lovato on their US dates are Los Angeles-based rock act Dead Sara and the emerging alternative rock artist Royal & The Serpent. The HOLY FVCK tour will continue to hit major cities across the US and Canada before wrapping up Nov. 6 in Irving, Texas.
