Radical captures the essence of Every Time I Die, merging clever lyricism with abrasive rock. The new album serves as a solid example of the successful consistency that the band’s music encompasses.
The long-awaited ninth studio album is a paradigm of just how great the band continue to be. Since the release of Low Teensin 2016, the five-piece have been actively involved with the creation of the new LP.
The band became inspired by the social upheaval and unrest that the world has seen in the past five years. However, the album itself takes a different approach. Radical conceptually revolves around humanity, civility, self-worth and even spirituality.
“I’m dealing with difficult matters this time that isn’t only personal for me but are also universal and more communal experiences,” vocalist Keith Buckley says. “The songs are realistic in that they acknowledge that things require a lot of work. But it’s ultimately a very hopeful and uplifting record.”
