Take My Breath” is a recently released single by Blueprint Tokyo, an Oklahoma City-based duo. It is their third song this year, coming as an adequate follow-up to “Slow Days” and “Stand And Deliver,” two excellent singles released earlier. However, “Take My Breath” showcases many innovations in songwriting, composing, arranging, recording, and producing. Although they follow their eighties-inspired rock path, Blueprint Tokyo infused this particular track with loads of energy and saxophone leads that will immediately grab your attention. Besides the eighties rock, you’ll notice how other complementary music genres found their way into this marvelous sonic equation. Don’t be surprised if you stumble upon some of the finest ingredients borrowed from indie, alternative, classic, synth, and pop rock. These additional elements serve as more than necessary enhancements, accentuations, decorations, and other details that unquestionably uplift this song on an entirely new level, while Blueprint Tokyo remains loyal to the primary sonic direction.

The outstanding vocal performance is the centerpiece, emphasizing everything Blueprint Tokyo tried to convey through their latest song. The way perfectly balanced low, mid, and high notes decorate all the chord progressions and piano leads goes beyond comprehension many times throughout the entire track. The guitars deliver so many beautiful, catchy, cleverly assembled melodies, harmonies, arpeggiated and regular chord progressions, serving as a perfect backdrop for all the vocal maneuvers. You’ll also notice how the equally complex, vividly hearable, warm-sounding basslines provide more than necessary heaviness, depth, and clarity. Of course, “Take My Breath” wouldn’t sound this good without excellent drumming performance based upon moderate, well-accentuated beats, breaks, fills, and other percussive acrobatics. The rhythmic sequences provide groove and pace, but also keep the remainder of the instrumentations in line. Also, it’s good to mention that mindblowing saxophone performance uplifts this composition on an entirely new level with all the leads, solos, accentuations, and other sonic maneuvers.

Blueprint Tokyo thoroughly planned even the tiniest details while assembling this magnificent track. They carefully arranged the song structure, so every segment comes with jaw-dropping vocal articulations, saxophone solos, mesmerizing chord progressions, heavy low-end notes, and energetic drumming. The duo invested all the experience, knowledge, skills, talent, ideas, and musicianship into “Take My Breath,” and their effort paid off in a marvelous number that will suit all rock fans and beyond. The single is available on all streaming platforms. Don’t miss it!
