Well, that’s a vegan straight edge skinhead band coming from Latin America. All three of them come from proletarian neighbourhoods and when they are not veganizing traditional latinx dishes, they are doing a lot of community work in social centers and on the streets. And who knows what they might be possibly doing in the dead of night? Animal abusers, beware!

In its short run time, this EP is anything but boring! There isn’t a single second wasted here across these four tracks as Cizalle constantly slays from one track to the next with their total old school vibe, rock-solid convictions and militant attitude. Yet another great twist on the tried-and-true streetpunk formula.

But beyond the catchy street rock’n’roll riffs, raw vocals and uplifting gang choruses, you’ll find pleas about empathy and altruism (“La Voz Vegana”), taking direct action for non-human animal rescues and liberation (“Acción Directa”), living a life of radical sobriety for revolution (“Antidrogas”), and, last but not least important, giving the boot to all these fake-ass vegan influencers on social media (“No Me Gustas”), you know we don’t need them to speak out for animals on our behalf.

The EP was released digitally on Bandcamp with big part of the proceeds being donated to animal rescue causes. The download file comes with the original lyrics in Spanish and their English translation, as well as pdf files with one of the most militant animal liberation pamphlets that I think came out in 1991 to stir up a lot of trouble.

Finally, I don’t care if you’ll like this EP or not. Just go vegan, make no compromise in defending the Earth and support your local communities by whatever means necessary. Oi!
