DeeCRACKS are not strangers on the underground punk rock scene, and neither are strangers to these pages. The group delivers top-notch rock’n’roll-driven punk rock music for nearly two decades. Since their formation in 2003, DeeCracks released a dozen of full-lengths, such as Attention! Deficit Disorder, Beyond Medication. and Sonic Delusion. Besides full-lengths, the group released loads of singles and EPs like Beach 90 7″, Totally Cracked! EP, Call It A Day 7”, Adderall 7”, Valentine 7″, Japan Tour 2019 CD EP, Standing On My Head 7”, Can’t Get It Right 7”, and We Can’t Help It 7”. Like this opus is not already impressive, DeeCracks also shared numerous split releases with bands like Murderburgers, The Priceduifkes, Griswalds, 7YEARSBADLUCK, The New Rochelles, Zatopeks, The Windowsill, and Nikki Corvette.

Recently, DeeCRACKS recorded their most advanced recording named Serious Issues, a powerful banger that carries sixteen brand new numbers. Expect nothing but a tremendously performed punk rock, luxuriously layered with a powerful rock’n’roll vibe and then sprinkled with smaller chunks of eighties hardcore punk. You couldn’t go wrong when you assume DeeCRACKS are sounding like the Ramones, Dead Boys, Buzzcocks, Social Distortion, The Adicts, The Undertones, but it seems these guys are pushing these classic maneuvers on an entirely new level. Their music emits more relentless power, raw energy, but still, there is plenty of room for some melodies, which are vividly hearable along the way. Their devotion towards classic seventies punk rock, pure love for fifties rock’n’roll is simply unavoidable on this album. DeeCRACKS also involve some surf rock throughout the album, but it’s unquestionably overflowed by the presence of the two abovementioned genres. The group takes uncompromising hardcore punk dynamics, so this material appears as a bone-crushing slab of noise at particular moments.

At least one thing I learned from my previous experience with recordings that are carrying 50s rock’n’roll visual aesthetics is to expect an energetic performance by each member of the group. That was my assumption after I put aside my previous knowledge about this band. You will instantly fall in love with the visual aesthetics of this record as soon as you grab it in the record store. There’s something hypnotic about each detail included on the record sleeve, but wait until you pull out the record sleeve. The sleeve carries individual artwork for each composition encompassed in the album. It gives such a good impression about the material and the group itself by just looking at it. What a wonderful experience!

You surely don’t want to miss out on this record because it includes all the audio and visual elements of an exceptionally good punk rock record. No matter if you’re into the classic punk rock sound or not, DeeCRACKS will knock your boots off with their dynamic version of rock’n’roll infused punk rock music. Keep your eyes peeled on this one because Serious Issues is coming out on February 26th on Pirates Press Records.
