Besides bands, there are a lot of artists who decided to work on their own and create everything by themselves from scratch. Heavybird is one of those solo artists who is active for a while, so he practically used these troubled times to finish his brand new recording named Pine Trees & The Faint Sound Of Buzzing. Since his inception as a solo artist in 2015, Heavybird continuously released an impressive amount of records in such short period, such as It Hurts & It Heals, Smile, Beautiful; You Are Free EP, a single named 27:27, Swans Eternal EP, and The Search. All these recordings were released from 2015 to 2017.
It took four years in the making, and there’s a good reason for such a big gap between a previous and a brand new album. These maneuvers resulted in elaborate orchestrations where this clever artist combines the beforementioned ingredients with fundamentals of psychedelic music. Heavybird keeps things calm, smooth, detailed, but interesting enough so you won’t be distracted by the constant calmness.
