This sinister grim reaper in his crasher-crust-patches clad black robe hails from Toronto and boasts members of other notable Canadian bands such as Absolut and IDNS.
Released by Phobia Records at the beginning of last year, Last Agony’s self-titled 7″ features four battering tracks of immense crust monstrosity in the veins of the heaviest and grimmest work of Stormcrow, Sanctum, Hellshock, etc.
The sound is raw as hell but you can clearly hear the driving low-tuned bass riffs through the wall-of-noise guitars and thundering crasher crust / d-beat drums executed at full-scale brutality. The vocals are absolutely gruesome, guttural growls, with so much reverb that they appear like being screamed at you from a bottomless, dark pit.
There’s no insert inside the sleeve though—no lyrics sheet included, no band info. Just four heavy pummelling crust tracks that rely on the band’s sheer monstrocity. I would love to hear a full-length from this band.
