Plomo is the dreamy, ambient soundtrack for the feature film directed by Luna In Cælo’s Daniel Dávila: El Niño del Plomo / The Child of Plomo.

This music is the backbone of a dreamy journey through the Andes mountains, bridging ancient Indigenous traditions resurface in modern-day Chile. The instrumentals are eerie, haunting and at times unnerving – a wander through the Andes, as well as within the human psyche. Even without the context of the film to influence our imaginations, the soundtrack stands proudly on its own with its seven atmospheric tracks, emitting a ghostly Brian Eno-meets-Max Richter and Angelo Badalamenti vibe.  The songs, held together by Dávila’s plaintive guitar, seamlessly blend together to create a soundscape that is as alluring as it is intimidating.

For this album, the film tracks were reshaped and mixed by legendary alt rock producer-engineer John Fryer (This Mortal Coil, Fad Gadget, Cocteau Twins, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails) and mastered for vinyl by Mike Hillier at Metropolis Studios, London.
