With so much new music released each and every day, it can be difficult to catch up with all the activity that has happened so far on the DIY music front. But one thing for sure is compilations & mixtapes made a huge comeback in the underground scene since the beginning of this awful pandemic.

From benefit compilations for protesters’ bail out funds, grassroots organizations & DIY music venues fighting for their sole survival, to other webzines and media imprints putting out Spotify playlists with the best of new music at a time when you can’t rely on the international circuit of live gigs & touring. It’s a collaboration between bands and various collectives like never before.

Here at DIY Conspiracy, we’ve also struggled financially since the beginning of the project. But it’s still worth fighting for an independent media channels that don’t rely on any sponsored shit or advertisements. It’s up to us to define the rules, so we’ve decided to start a Patreon page where people could not only help covering our ever-increasing expenses, in order to keep the site running, but also get a new, DIY-as-f**k, compilation tape each and every month.

Since the beginning of 2021, we’ve released three compilations with 50 different bands from all over the world. Fun fact, the first two compilations didn’t feature any North American bands as we think that bands from the US and Canada have been given disproportionate amount of attention in many other zines throughout the years.

In this new compilation tape, we have two US bands for the first time ever, but this doesn’t mean we’re going to put out more than two American bands per tape in the future either. Besides those two US bands, we’ve combined 13 other bands from as diverse places as France, Finland, Brazil, Sweden, Spain, England, Greece, and Romania.

Again, it’s almost 40 minutes of DIY punk music ranging from classic punk-rock to hardcore, crust, real screamo, and last but not least, a sludge / doom metal with an underlying anarchist & antiauthoritarian message beneath all the heavy music on display.

We’re talking about the exclusive new track by our Romanian comrades VVVLV, who are releasing an exclusive full stream of their new album on April, 14th. Save the date!
