A Shoreline Dream wake from their slumber with their spellbinding new single, “Alarms Stop Ringing,” a song from their forthcoming album Loveblind (September 23 via Latenight Weeknight Records).

For this track, and indeed the entire album, A Shoreline Dream draws from progressive goth roots with layers of moodiness, chugging tempo, and a maelstrom of emotions brought upon by near-death experiences. They pulled out all the stops recording the album in suburban Denver, even recording vocals at the bottom of a well. The song perfectly captures the liminal state of mind that hums as the ocean of the subconscious subsides, and slowly eyes regain their focus for the day’s waking hours.

“Alarms Stop Ringing” is accompanied by a mesmerizing video: directed, filmed, and edited by Ryan Policky at The Best Little Boarding House and Black Monarch Hotel in Victor, Colorado. The spooky atmosphere tells the story of a man haunted by relationships and memories of his past, while attempting to grapple with his own personal struggle.

“Victor is one of my favorite places to detach from society and the star of the album,” says Policky, calling it, quite literally, a dream location. “In the late 1800’s, the main street burned to the ground and left behind a super haunted presence. Fast forward to present day – two locations on this main street are some of the most amazing spots to visit. The Black Monarch is a goth hotel dream-come-true, frequented by Tesla back in his day, and The Best Little Boarding House is a converted brothel that is probably the most haunted place in the city…Just try staying asleep through the night!”

The film stars Allan Cutler, Jessica Halpine, Matilda Marginal, Alyssa Wyss, and Elyssa Gleeson, with costume design by MARGINAL and Jessica Halpine.

Over the years, A Shoreline Dream has churned out numerous acclaimed releases, working with legends such as Ulrich Schnauss, Mark Kramer andThe Engineers (for whom they created a remix for progressive label gods K-Scope). They also opened for Chapterhouse for their very final appearance.

“While the pandemic has taken its toll on our mental well-being, the perception of money and power has blown previous years away,” says the band. “Dying to get back to the good times, moments of pure, unscathed lust, we are eager for new experiences to sweep us off our feet.”

“Alarms Stop Ringing” is available for download exclusively via Bandcamp, where the full Loveblind album can be pre-ordered. As of September 23, the album will be released everywhere online, including Spotify and Apple Music.
