After a couple of singles and a debut full-length album called Music, Vol.1, The Hybris returns with some new music that will unquestionably appeal to all the fans of alternative rock. Impostor Syndrome is the first single this year by this international trio. The single comes as an appropriate continuation of their previous works, but it also carries some innovations in terms of writing, composing, and production. Impostor Syndrome sounds slightly heavier, more energetic, and complex compared to the remainder of The Hybris discography. Still, you’ll notice this composition perfectly matches anything these highly creative musicians released in the past.

The song commences with a profoundly detailed bassline and moderate beats that shape the ambiance, while the lead vocal harmonies decorate and prepare the listeners for the pre-chorus and chorus. The guitar introduces a more complex sound through catchy leads, riffs, and chorus progressions. Impostor Syndrome becomes even heavier during the chorus, where the vocals and all orchestrations shine bright in the mix without spoiling each other in the entire process. It’s nearly mindblowing how this song resonates with so many melodies, harmonies, and dynamics until the band calms down the pace and leaves vocals and guitar leads as a closure. The Hybris thought about every possible detail while assembling Impostor Syndrome, and you’ll notice how the entire band paid so much attention while constructing this catchy number. These guys proved once again why they’re one of the best new bands on an alternative scene. The single is available on all streaming platforms.
