BABYMETAL have posted a cryptic announcement about the band’s future on their Facebook account. In the post, the group claim they will “disappear from our sight,” potentially hinting at a next phase for the group.

The message reads, “REVELATION FROM THE FOX GOD Sunday, October 10th, 2021… Together with all 10 episodes of METAL RESISTANCE coming to a close, the 10-year legend will be sealed from the world. Until that seal is broken, BABYMETAL will disappear from our sight. Time is running out. There is no eternity in God’s descent.”

The announcement comes after the celebration of BABYMETAL’s 10-year anniversary. The group released a comic book and a greatest hits album. They also performed a variety of anniversary shows at Tokyo’s Nippon Budokan arena to commemorate their time together as a band.

Additionally, BABYMETAL will release a live vinyl series, album and DVD called 10 BABYMETAL BUDOKAN. You can stay up to date on the releases via their website here.

The last BABYMETAL studio album, METAL GALAXY, came out in 2019. The release made history as the band became the first Asian artists to climb to No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart. Before that, their previous album, METAL RESISTANCE, topped out at No. 6.

METAL GALAXY was accompanied by two live albums, LEGEND – METAL GALAXY [DAY 1] and LEGEND – METAL GALAXY [DAY 2]. As a whole, the albums feature live recordings of two dozen tracks.

“We wanted to do something with them for ages,” he says. “We’ve got a really special connection with them, even though we don’t speak the same language. We don’t hang out or have conversations, but when you see them, it makes you really happy.”

Bring Me The Horizon also spoke in a behind-the-scenes video about how easy the band were to work with on “Kingslayer.”

“Working with them was awesome,” he continues. “They’re so organized and so professional. I asked them, ‘I really want you guys to sing the verse in Japanese.’ So I told them the idea behind the song and the concept, and they came back with a table of option A,B,C and D of lyrics.”
