Death Lens, a fast-rising punk outfit out of LA, wrapped a tour with Militarie Gun earlier this year and are now in the midst of their own headline run in support of their new album, Cold World, which arrives May 3 via Epitaph.

They’ve already shared three singles from the LP — “Vacant,” “Limousine,” and the title track — and today they’re back with the furious “Disturb the Peace.” It’s a scorching, hard-hitting punk song, meant to mirror the band’s daily lives as POC in a country that often assumes the worst. It comes with a video directed by Jose Luna of True Colors Creative featuring frontman Bryan Torres on the run, then fighting back in its final moments, that ties in with the album’s statement of intent — “the desire to thrive in a deteriorating world.”

“A song written for the people, inspired by the people, and for my people, like my immigrant parents who came to the chaos of America to give us a better life and opportunity,” Torres says. “‘Disturb The Peace’ was meant to feel like mayhem for a reason — that’s what we wanted to do. A sense of disarray to reflect the life we live here in the U.S. and the government that associates us as bad people. It lights our fire as we disturb the peace and retake the streets night after night, preaching this in each city.”
