Vancouver, British Columbia dream pop act Sunday Morning have dropped their latest track ‘Anna Says.’ Chris Birkett, The Grammy and Juno award winning producer who’s worked alongside Sinead O’Connor and Buffy Sainte Marie, embellishes Sunday Morning’s hazy track from behind the boards.
‘Anna Says’ unfurls with delicacy and danger. Bandleader Bruce Wilson finds of solace in the struggles of the protagonist Anna. He wallows amidst a reverberating chorus of female echoes. Wilson scoops low enough vocally that ‘Anna Says’ floats at a height slightly above and below the clouds. Sunday Morning’s relaxed disposition offsets the underlying pathos of Anna. The track is a kite, weighty enough to be grasped in your hands while still fluttering in the air.
‘Anna Says’ follows their two 2020 singles, ‘Beautiful Lie’ and ‘Consequence of Love.’
