The concert will be held at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, Oklahoma. While the Hella Mega tour will feature performances in some of the largest stadiums pop-punk music has ever seen, the surprise show is being held in a more intimate 1,800 capacity venue.
“It’s going down in Tulsa tomorrow night,” the band said on Twitter. “We’re doing a surprise warm-up show at Cain’s Ballroom!! Tickets on sale now.”
In order to get tickets to the show, fans must have received a vaccine two weeks prior.
“Note: Due to the recent spike in the Delta variant, and because it’s indoors, we’ve been asked to do this as a fully vaccinated show. ID and proof of vaccination will be required for entry for all attendees. No exceptions.”

Always a socially conscious band, Green Day further announced measures to combat ticket hoarding and price gouging. Upon entry, patrons are required to show photo identification, proof of official vaccination card and the physical credit card used to purchase tickets. You can read the entry requirements further here.
In February 2021, Green Day first returned to the stage after a year of COVID-19 preventing live appearances when they performed for NFL Honors prior to the 2021 Super Bowl. The band kept up with their string of sports collaborations when they debuted “Here Comes The Shock” over a highlight reel during the NHL’s outdoors game in Lake Tahoe.
Fall Out Boy have had a summer filled with unique appearances, such as a May 23 performance on American Idol. Weezer, on the other hand, have had a busier summer. To support the release of two albums, Van Weezer and OK Human, the band found themselves performing live on late-night acts, including a recent spot on Late Night With Seth Meyers.
All three bands teamed up for a July 16 appearance on NBC’s Good Morning America ahead of the tour. On the upcoming run, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong says it feels good simply to be onstage again.
“I’m just looking forward to playing again,” Armstrong says. “We’ve been planning this tour for two years now, and we got derailed into lockdown, and it’ll just be nice to do what I love doing. I love playing live, and it’s the biggest tour of the summer with three really fun bands, so it should be great.”
Tickets to the secret show sold out as of July 19. However, you can find tour dates for the upcoming Hella Mega tour below.
