Last year, Hawthorne Heights launched the inaugural alternative music festival Is For Lovers — and this year it’s coming back even bigger than before.
Today, the post-hardcore favorites announced Is For Lovers Festival will expand from three to eight locations in 2023. For the event, which is curated by the band themselves, they’re bringing along a handful of genre staples. Appearances vary at each location, but Jimmy Eat World, Thrice, Alkaline Trio, the Story So Far, 3OH!3, Bayside, Underoath, State Champs, Mayday Parade, and Thursday will all be joining the fest at some point.

You’ll be able to catch them this summer in Oahu, Hawaii, Lake Tahoe, California, Denver, Colorado, Manteo, North Carolina, Council Bluffs, Iowa, Cincinnati, Ohio, Pelham, Tennessee, and Mansfield, Massachusetts.
Hawthorne Heights’ vocalist JT Woodruff said in a press release about the fest, “We want to give fans an inclusionary place to go that features a wide variety of bands from all walks of life, and we want to do it with a smile on our face, because we have chosen to work with people who we love and respect. The most important part for us is to make sure that the fan experience is equal to the band experience. We just want everyone to have fun, and have an easy day together.”
