Last week, Fall Out Boy marked their spectacular return with the brand-new single “Love From The Other Side.” Now, the band are offering another preview of their new era with “Heartbreak Feels So Good.”

The new song comes ahead of their much-anticipated eighth studio album, So Much (For) Stardust, which is out March 24 on Fueled By Ramen. Neal Avron, the producer who helmed From Under the Cork Tree, Infinity on High, and Folie à Deux, is back behind the boards as well.

Coinciding with the single release, tonight Fall Out Boy will return to the Chicago suburbs with a last-minute, sold-out show at Metro as part of its 40th-anniversary celebrations (the same venue that hosted Metallica for $20 tickets in 2021 as well as the Smashing Pumpkins last year). The intimate gig signals their first time playing the venue since 2013 — and even back then they ended with the eternal “Saturday.”

Apart from their classic lineup, founding guitarist Joe Trohman will be absent from the homecoming. Hours after the album announcement last week, he shared that he was temporarily stepping away from the band to prioritize his mental health. Don’t worry, though, as Trohman promises that he’ll rejoin his bandmates once he’s in a better headspace.
