Did you think it was impossible to get emotionally destroyed by Lucy Dacus‘ hit “Night Shift” any further? Well, think again.

Today, to honor the fifth anniversary of the indie-rock artist’s breakout album Historian, Dacus has shared the first-ever music video for the fan-favorite track “Night Shift.” The video is directed by rising indie filmmaker Jane Schoenbrun, who directed last year’s horror film We’re All Going to the World’s Fair and is currently working on an A24-produced project starring Dacus’ boygenius collaborator Phoebe Bridgers, Lindsey Jordan of Snail Mail, and others. It stars Dacus, as well as Jasmin Savoy Brown of Scream and Yellowjackets fame, seeing the two play a couple sharing a serendipitous moment at a costume party.

The sweet, magical clip is like a queer trip down the Yellow Brick Road, as Dacus is working the night shift at a motel hosting a Wizard of Oz-themed party, and she connects with Dorothy (Savoy Brown) missing one of her ruby red slippers, er, platform boots.

The video also comes as Dacus announces a five-year anniversary special edition vinyl of Historian, which you can preorder here, and the singer-songwriter is on the cusp of releasing her latest with boygenius. Watch the video below.
