Indie-music aficionados in our hometown of Philly shouldn’t fret if they missed Lo Moon’s recent performance at Johnny Brenda’s. The L.A. foursome, touring in support of wondrous new sophomore LP A Modern Life (Strngr/Thirty Tigers), will be back our way in September for the XPoNential and Firefly festivals. A solo Dedric Clark of Social Animals—a Duluth, Minn., quartet whose self-titled debut album was just released via Rise—opened the Johnny Brenda’s show. MAGNET photographer Chris Sikich was there and felt the real love.
