Pantera might be sharing stage with Suicidal Tendencies and King’s X. A couple of shows in California in July of next year – The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles (July 21st) and The Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View (July 23rd) – with Suicidal Tendencies and King’s X as the “special guests” might be on the cards. It should be noted that those dates have not been officially confirmed by managers or booking agents, nor sources close to Pantera, Suicidal Tendencies and/or King’s X.

Pantera poster teases the show

A poster for the potential tour has also been leaked across the internet, which depicts a guy giving what appears to be the “Black Lives Matter” fist gesture in front of a gray background (likely a parody/nod to Phil Anselmo’s infamous “White Power” gesture). Check it out below:

It has been also reported that world tour under the Pantera banner will feature the surviving members – Phil Anselmo (vocals) and Rex Brown (bass) – in addition to guitarist Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne, Black Label Society) and drummer Charlie Benante (Anthrax). The latter of the two will be filling in for the late Abbott brothers – Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul – on guitar and drums respectively.

Rumors of a tour with Suicidal and King’s X comes nearly two weeks after Stryper frontman Michael Sweet spilled out information that his band and Pantera will share a bill together at this year’s edition of Mexico’s Heaven & Hell Metal Fest. It is to be noted that if the rumors of either the Heaven & Hell Metal Fest appearance – or the aforementioned tour – are true, this would have marked Pantera’s first appearance on stage since 2001, when they went on hiatus following the end of the tour cycle for their final album “Reinventing The Steel”. The band would break up a couple of years later.
