Human Crime is the band’s first new release since September 2020.
The new song captures the band’s trademark sound, with its “loud-quiet-loud” shifts, ringing guitars and melodious texture.
The video for Human Crime was directed by Pixies’ Paz Lenchantin and filmed in the Los Angeles area at the abandoned bunkers of San Pedro and Santa Monica’s Gold Diggers Bar.
“The storyline is loosely based on an inside joke between Charles and me about going on tour”, says Lenchantin. “How we go through a door from our reality state into the altered state of becoming and being a Pixie”.
Pixies will start their world tour in March 2022. The dates are available here.
The band will open the BBC 6 Music Festival in Cardiff, Wales on 1 April 2022.
