Sum 41 announce break-up, share update on final album and tour

Sum 41 has announced that they are “officially disbanding.”

Today — which happens to be the anniversary of the release of the band’s debut album, 2001’s All Killer No Filler — the pop-punk group took to social media to announce their break-up. They also shared an update about their upcoming tour dates and final album, Heaven :x: Hell, which was announced in 2022.

They wrote on Instagram, “Sum 41 are officially disbanding. We will still be finishing all of our current upcoming tour dates this year, and we’re looking forward to releasing our final album ‘Heaven :x: Hell,’ along with a final worldwide tour to celebrate. Details will be announced as soon as we have them.”

The beloved Canadian group has been together since 1996 and seems to have disbanded amicably, writing in their announcement, “Being in Sum 41 since 19996 brought us some of the best moments in our lives.”

The band is currently gearing up for tour dates with Simple Plan and the Offspring. As stated, addition details should come soon regarding their final tour and last record. For now, you can read their full message to fans below.
