The Smashing Pumpkins release new single – Beguiled

The Smashing Pumpkins’ new single Beguiled is taken from the band’s forthcoming twelfth studio album ATUM.

The Smashing Pumpkins share their new single Beguiled, along with details of their twelfth studio album – a three-act rock opera album titled ATUM (pronounced Autumn). The 33-track record is a sequel to Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness and Machina/The Machine Of God, released in 1995 and 2000 respectively.

Featuring spiky guitar riffs, Beguiled combines elements of metal and hard rock with a pop sensibility. The song is a precursor to the second part of the ATUM album which will come out on 31 January 2023. The record contains three acts, each to be released separately. ATUM was written and produced by Billy Corgan over the past four years.

Each act of eleven songs will come out every eleven weeks on digital streaming platforms to coincide with Billy Corgan’s brand-new podcast series Thirty-Three with William Patrick Corgan. Act 1 will be available on 15 November 2022. Act 2 on 31 January 2023. Act 3 along with a special edition box set featuring all 33 album tracks plus 10 additional unreleased songs, will be released on 21 April 2023.
