Rage Against The Machine member Zack De La Rocha shared a special moment with his father at a recent concert. “Beto de la Rocha, I love you!”, Zack shouted out at his father at the end of Born of a Broken Man last night?

destroyermaker said, “Growing up with ratm and hearing the stories I always assumed he hated his father. Takes a very big heart to be able to forgive all that let alone love him. Dunno that I’d have it in me.”

emac1211 said, “I grew up with them in the 90s too, but never got the impression he “hated” his father. I got the impression his father had some personal problems and perhaps mental health problems, but I don’t think he ever hated them.”

freewheelinryan88 noted, “Sounded like he switched up the lyrics a bit too. “Not a broken man” and some others that I couldn’t quite make out.”

De La Rocha reportedly injured his leg four songs into the band’s set at Chicago’s United Center on July 11, while Zack and his bandmates were performing “Bullet In The Head”, a classic song from the group’s 1992 self-titled debut album.

The band kicked off its long-delayed “Public Service Announcement” tour on July 9 in front of roughly 30,000 fans at Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, Wisconsin. Their comeback tour features support from Run The Jewels. The current tour marks the first time the reunited rap-metal quartet has hit the road together since 2011.

Rage Against The Machine called off their shows

Rage Against The Machine recently called off the August and September 2022 European leg of the tour. The cancelation was forced and it comes a month after singer Zack De La Rocha appeared to injure his leg and had been performing while seated ever since.

Rage Against The Machine released a statement via social media and it seems they pulled out of the tour due to medical advise.

Here is what the statement read:

“Per medical guidance, Zack de la Rocha has been advised that the August and September 2022 UK and European leg of the band’s tour cannot proceed. It is with great disappointment that we announce this cancellation.”

Rage Against The Machine will be finishing their run at Madison Square Garden on August 11, 12 & 14 and then Zack must return home for rest and rehabilitation. The flights, travel time, and rigorous schedule in the UK and Europe are simply too much of a risk for a complete recovery.”

“We are so sorry to all of our fans who have waited years to see us and hope to RAGE again soon.”Please contact your point of purchase for refunds to any headline shows.”
