Unlike their previous singles, We Don’t Love Each Other Anymore and Monica, which were more of indie-pop songs, Gabrielle leans much more towards contemporary pop-punk and melodic punk rock. This drastic change appeals to the initial musical direction of the duo, who retained indie aesthetics, but somehow decorated style with much heavier and dynamic sound.
