SoCal rockers, Carpool Tunnel have released their brand new album ‘Don’t Let Them Pass You By’, today via Pure Noise Records. Stream the album HERE and orders of the new album are available HERE. To celebrate the release the band have released a video for newest single ‘Driving To The Moon’.
Speaking on the new album, the band said: “Don’t Let Them Pass You By” could be interpreted in so many different ways—a warning, a reminder of love and gratitude, or a pang of regret. It may denote loss or motivate one to persevere, acknowledging that you yourself are all that you need. Growing older can distance us from our dreams, yet the essence of who we are remains unchanged. It makes you think of external factors out of your control but turns the focus onto yourself, your dreams, and your own capabilities. Drawing from old recording and songwriting techniques, Carpool Tunnel’s sophomore album is a blend of classic and modern sounds. It is a sonically playful soundscape featuring four-part harmonies, keys, synthesizers, and unique guitar tones that all work together in unison to create an immersive and atmospheric record.”
To celebrate the release of their new album Carpool Tunnel will be heading out on their first national headline tour co-headlined by Chase Petra. Full list of dates below.
Speaking about the tour announcement the band said “We are headed out on our first national tour — traveling to places we have never been before. We are looking forward to meeting new friends along the way and sharing some amazing new music that we created as friends. We are extremely proud of what we have created and it is going to be a privilege to be able to share it with you all! See you all very soon!”

While their sun-soaked sound harkens back to simpler times, CARPOOL TUNNEL literally wouldn’t exist without the power of modern technology. Like all great 21st-century relationships, a serendipitous swipe on an app – in this case Vampr, hailed as Tinder for musicians – brought singer/guitarist Ben Koppenjan and guitarist Bradley Kearsley together in 2017.
The Bay Area guitarists quickly bonded over a shared love of ’60s and ’70s-era classic rock like the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac, and the connection was immediate: Just a few weeks after meeting, the pair was in the studio recording their debut single, “Afterlight,” with Grammy-nominated producer Billy Mohler.
After the release of their first album BLOOM the brilliantly named band hit the road, bringing their California cool aesthetic and classically retro sound up and down the coast. In this live setting, free-wheeling and bereft of perfectionist attitudes, the group began laying the foundation for their long-awaited second album Don’t Let Them Pass You By.
The album out now via Pure Noise Records, puts Carpool Tunnel’s sandbar psychedelic sound on full display, swirling psychedelic rock and blues with sunny surf rock to create something that’s both nostalgic and fresh.
