Dallas Punks Morocco have just released the first single off their upcoming release on Cluttered Desk Records. The song, “Livin’ in the City” will be the opening track to the bands third EP on the label, titled “Shitheds”. Currently there is no release date slated but that’s not stopping anyone from vibing on the furious and heartfelt tune written by the band’s bassist Bob Crash.

Bob says, “One day I walked past a park on the way to the beer store at 7 a.m. I saw broken 40 oz bottles in the parking lot, fuckin broke my heart. Ironically, I just told myself how beautiful the day was. Then My mom called me and said she didn’t know where Junior was , and she said I think he’s on meth. That’s how I got “a mother’s heart is bleeding for a son that can’t be found”

“Livin in the city was written by our bass player Bob over the course of a decade through the really traumatic breakup of his last band involving heavy drug use and prison time for the parties involved; through alcoholism and homelessness and followed him to his current state of sobriety, employment and being the rockin fucking bassist he is in our little band Morocco. As for me, Forrest the drummer, Livin’ in the City was the reason I wanted to get back to jamming with Bob in the first place. I am so incredibly happy that we were finally able to record this song, and that it is going to see some light. It is incredibly meaningful and always was to me and especially for my friend Bob.” – said Forrest

Morocco is Ben Sanchez, Bob Crash, and Forrest Cook. “Livin in the City” was recorded at Cluttered Desk. Ben Recorded it. Ben also mixed the song. Jack Control at Enormous Door Mastering is the person who mastered it.
