Well, I think all ideas have a chance to be a long-lasting career or venture. I think The Missing Frets became a reality since the strong aspect of the band is the duo of myself and Bindu.

When did the first glimpses of your latest release come together?

The winter of 2021.

What really inspires your music?

Life experience, spirituality and political topics.

Can you tell us a bit about the lyrical process for a song? How does it normally work?

Usually, we start with a concept we want to write about, sometimes it comes in waves, and the inspiration just kind of takes over. Then we aim for a catchy phrase, from there we begin at the verse and tell the story to that point. We usually throw in a bridge as a tangent and bam we have a song.

What’s the most rewarding moment in your creative process as a band, and why?

Probably the release of our debut studio album “Pipe Dreams” because it is our best piece of work yet.

Who produces your music, and what are they like to work with? (If you produce the music yourself, what do you love the most about working that way?)

We do. Because we like the freedom of creating without influence or limitations.

Can you give us a couple of personal highlights from your live show? Particular memories that stand out to you?

One of the most memorable things is when people come up to us and tell us the music has influenced or enhanced their life. A band memory that stands out is when we played our first gig together with our current drummer we had less than a week to get it together and rocked the house, it was a blast.

What advice would you give to another upcoming band/act?

Only release music that is of excellent quality. Learn how to promote your music on a minimal budget and stay focused on your goals.
