Melbourne’s, Bitch Diesel announces an unreleased track, a Jacky Winter remix of “Bionic Woman”. The original song will be released as a part of the bands debut album, Bitchcraft, April 2022 via Future Folklore Records.

The track, remixed by Phil G of Jacky Winter, is lurching, menacing and unusual. The droning background pounds through the droll, ethereal vocals. The remix is at once complex and minimal, bringing to mind The Cramps, The Cranberries, and Babes In Toyland. The album was recorded and mixed in the French Pyrenees while the band were touring Europe in late 2019.

“Just a couple of broads chasing down fame and fortune in a liquor-infused haze. Bitch Diesel are rarely late to a live
performance and are able to play for the full 25 minutes if required,” the band says of themselves. Duly noted!

The three-piece punk outfit, comprised of members from SMB and Modesty, have been bringing their raw rock n’ roll to Melbourne since 2016, with a residency at the Tote front bar, appearances at Gizzfest, Dark Mofo and Boogie Festival, as well as supporting King Gizzard & The Wizard Lizard, Children Collide, TFS, The Cosmic Psychos, Spiderbait, Stonefield, The Courtneys, Kid Congo & the Pink Monkey Birds, BOYTOY, and Guantanamo Baywatch.

The Bitch Diesel banshees returned to Australia after a brief European jaunt just before Covid, recording their forthcoming debut album due to be released early 2021.

In addition to the Bionic Woman remix, Bitch Diesel have released a limited edition cassette presenting new single HAIL, a fast and furious cover of I Don’t Wanna Go Out by Australia’s X-Aspirations, and previously released single Void.
