There have been many rock bands out there doing their thing, but somehow, those bands always lacked something that would make them stand out from the crowd. The devil’s in details, and that’s the thing with rock’n’roll. Maybe you got the riffs, impressive solos, and good rhythm section, but you also have to put blood, sweat, and tears into your music so it would shine bright in the limelight. Mother Vulture possesses what it takes to become the next big thing on the rock scene. After all, listen to tunes like Joker’s Smile, Habits Die Hard, Objectify, Mr. Jones, Tell Me, Fame Or Shame, The Wave, Rabbit Hole, and Honey. Those singles serve as more than perfect examples of Mother Vulture‘s brilliance.
But, wait until you hear
Homemaker, their latest piece of sonic artistry. The band enhanced the sound on another level, so they unquestionably resonate with sheer power, heaviness, and relentless dynamics. Perhaps I mentioned rock before, but Mother Vulture invested so many ingredients that you’ll have difficulties grasping all of them in one listening. You’ll stumble upon only the best properties of stoner rock, sludge, hard rock, rock’n’roll, grunge, and alternative, thoroughly combined into a colossal slab of ear-appealing noise. These guys are not joking around with their sound, and that’s vividly hearable from scratch to finish. As soon as you press play, you’ll notice Mother Vulture are profoundly into all these music genres but don’t be surprised if you hear some other elements as well.
The overly distorted guitars resonate with that irresistible, abrasive, dirty, heavy riffs that will immediately force you to bang your head from scratch to the finish of this song. These riffs come as a bone-crushing wave of power threatening to destroy everything in the broader radius. You’ll also notice guitar licks lurking around during the verses that easily transit into power chords during the choruses. I adore how the sound engineer/producer volumed up the bass guitar in the mix, so you will hear all those thick low-end tones without any difficulties. Of course, nothing would sound so profoundly dynamic without exceptional drumming performance that offers highly energetic beats, continuous splashes over the cymbals, hectic drum fills, and other rhythmic acrobatics. The high-pitched lead vocals come as a cherry on top and provide another layer of pleasant harmonies that serve as a perfect sonic contrast to the massive output of the entire band. Homemaker will be right up your alley if you’re into a stoner, sludge, hard rock, rock’n’roll, and grunge music. The single is available on all streaming platforms. Don’t miss this one!
