The Celebrating David Bowie tour has revealed that Peter Murphy is forced to bow out of the tour’s planned fall dates. Citing ill health and adhering to medical advice for necessary rest and recovery, his participation in the tour will sadly be missed. The announcement was made on his official Facebook page this afternoon.
“I sorely regret not be able to play concerts at this time,” Murphy says. “I am sure the CDB shows will be great.”
The tour will continue as planned, however, with special guests joining along the way. On board are Spacehog’s Roydon Langdon, Adrian Belew (Bowie, NIN, King Crimson), Scrote (Sting, Todd Rundgren). Eric Schermerhorn (Bowie, Iggy Pop, The The), and more.
