Rome joins Sublime, leaves Sublime with Rome, who will continue to tour

In some, perhaps, shocking news, Rome has announced that he is leaving Sublime with Rome. In fact, Rome has joined the newly resurrected Sublime, which includes original Sublime members Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson along with original singer Brad Nowell’s son, Jakob. The band will now be called Sublime AND Rome and are expected to do a mix of Sublime classics along with some Sublime with Rome covers. Rome issued a statement: “It is with great pleasure that I announce my plans to join the band Sublime. I’ve been preparing for this with my whole career in Sublime with Rome and I am excited to take on this exciting new challenge.”Remaining Sublime with Rome members, Joe Tomino and Brian Allen, stated that due to contractual obligations, they will continue as “Sublime with Rome without Rome but with Joe Tomino and Brian Allen.” That band also issued a press release wherein they stated, “we intend to treat the Sublime with Rome catalogue with the respect that it deserves.”
