SLOW JAMS work beyond borders. Based in Berlin with five members from Italy, France, Romania and Germany, the band started by paying homage to the hardcore punk’s early 2000s sound. After releasing their self-produced debut TO THE BONE (2018) and the follow-up EP HEAVY BLUES (2020), the band toured Europe with Drip-Fed from Austin, Texas, as well as playing in support of their local scene.In 2022 Slow Jams are ready to unleash their second full-length album PUNK STANDARDS on which they are digging deeper into their punk rock roots and honoring early nineties grunge and post-hardcore sounds. The album is actually hitting it off with a grungy introduction via “Acrimony”, the first slow and then fast instrumental track which is followed by the punk rock fused “Swapping Promises”. Over the course of the first eight (real) songs of the album the band keeps their pace level up until hitting “Parsimony”, the album’s unplugged interlude which allows you to catch breath for 19 seconds and let “Exit Excite” and “In Flood”, which then to cover the post-hardcore side of the album, close the journey of “Punk Standards”.
With PUNK STANDARDS Slow Jams hold on to their global thought: mastered by US Grammy award winner Alan Douches (Converge, Kid Dynamite, Lifetime) at West West Side Music, the album is coming out on vinyl as a co-production of four European record labels. PUNK STANDARDS releases April 8th 2022 via I.Corrupt.Records from Germany, White Russian Records from the Netherlands, Monument Records from Sweden and Fresh Outbreak from Italy.
