Valeras return with the announcement of their highly-anticipated new EP “Tell Me Now”. The news is accompanied by the release of their new alt-pop anthem “Let Me Go”. The track follows on from their recent critically acclaimed singles “Rita” and “The Other Side”, which have seen the band earn plaudits across press with Gigwise describing the new material as a “infectious arsenal of high-octane rock tunes that glisten with pop magic”, and radio support across BBC Introducing, Radio 1, and 6 Music, including support from Steve Lamacq.

Combining captivating pop-driven vocal lines with propulsive guitars and a driving rhythm section, the new single perfectly encapsulates the band’s ability to merge their frenetic indie-rock sensibilities with more melodic and hook-heavy songwriting, whilst also instilling hope and uplift into often difficult topics.

Speaking about the single the band say: “The song touches on a subject that we feel is relevant to a lot of people as we lived through these odd and isolating times. ‘Let Me Go’ speaks about the feeling of being stuck in a place that stands still and wanting more out of life. Although it can sometimes feel scary to leave things behind, there comes a moment when you realise you need to make the jump. We wanted people to feel reassured in the fact that there is power in letting go and not settling for something that no longer makes you happy.”

The single is also accompanied by a new video which sees the band take to London in the middle of the pandemic capturing the city as it stood still. Going on to speak about the video, they go on to say:

“Last year hit us hard along with most people. We didn’t have much money, but this didn’t stop us from wanting to create a video to represent the essence of the song of being hopeful. So, we grabbed some camcorders and walked around London whilst the city stood still, and this was the result. This is very special to us, and we hope you guys enjoy it. As always thank you so much to those who continue to support us, and if you’re new here – welcome to the family.”
