Moses Sumney has found early success the old fashioned way through word of mouth and dynamic live performances on both sides of the Atlantic. Today, he has decided to follow up his track ‘Seeds’ with the soulful, plaintive, folk of ‘Pleas’. Like ‘Seeds’, Sumney’s latest is a contemplative, unadorned folk ballad that showcases his evocative vocals which wind through the simple finger picked acoustic guitar. His vocal is earnest and pleading but never over wrought, retaining a restraint that compliments the stripped back nature of the track.
