The clock is counting down to this year’s Black Friday sales – and while the annual sales extravaganza might still seem a long way off, the big deals and discounts will be here before you know it.

Black Friday always takes place the day after Thanksgiving in the US, which mean this year’s Black Friday will take place on Friday, November 25. Sales are expected to continue right through that weekend until Cyber Monday officially kicks in on November 28.

So what can you expect to see over the Black Friday/Cyber Monday long sales weekend? Going by previous years, there have been massive savings on a whole range of products including headphones, Bluetooth speakers, vinyl box sets, turntables, music equipment, TVs, booze, Funko collectables, band apparel, rock jigsaws and more – and we expect more of the same this year… with perhaps a few added surprises.

Black Friday music deals: When is Black Friday?

Black Friday takes place every year on the day after Thanksgiving in the US and that means that for 2022, it’ll be on November 25. In the past, Black Friday was an American-only sales bonanza for retail stores, but with the rise in online shopping, it’s grown to become a global phenomenon.

Black Friday deals now begin weeks before the big day itself and stretch over the weekend, offering massive bargains on a range of products, including Black Friday music deals on Apple AirPods and headphones for music, through to bluetooth speakers, vinyl and everything in-between.

We’re on-hand bringing you all the biggest and best deals for music fans this Black Friday and, of course, Cyber Monday.

When do the Cyber Monday music deals start?

Before the internet took away a large chunk of Black Friday traffic from bricks and mortar retail stores, Cyber Monday was fully dedicated to online shopping. Of course, the lines between Black Friday and Cyber Monday have now become blurred, turning the annual shopping extravaganza into what is essentially four days of deals. Cyber Monday deals tend to focus on the more technical products such as phones for music, turntables and budget turntables, with this year’s Cyber Monday taking place on November 28.

Best Black Friday music deals: What to expect

With Black Friday 2022 arriving on November 25, music fans in particular will be able to get their hands on a whole range of products at knockdown prices. In 2021, there were Black Friday music deals on band merch, vinyl box sets, the Amazon Echo Studio, Bluetooth speakers from the likes of Ultimate Ears and Marshall, headphones from Bose, Sony and Bang & Olufsen and the highly sought after Apple Airpods Pro and Apple Airpods Max. And that was just the tip of the iceberg!

Last year, there were still many Covid restrictions in place, but those have largely gone now so lots of stores will be open once again. Online retailers will be aware of this and are sure to cram their virtual shelves with bargains galore.

We expect to see tech deals right across the board, including over-ear headphones, Bluetooth speakers, record players and more. We’re also hopeful of seeing the elusive PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X make an appearance. These games consoles remain hard to get hold of in 2022, but hopefully there will be an increase in models available across the Black Friday weekend.

How to spot the best Black Friday music deals

Prices are wide and varied across the expanse of the internet, so how can you find the best deal? We recommend you do some digging and find the RRP of the product – that way you’ll be able to see which retailer has cut the price dramatically or merely lopped a chunk of change off the list price.

Also, keep a note of all the items you’re interested in and check back to see if they drop in price nearer the big day itself. It’s also worthwhile creating a list of back-up options – just in case that mega 10-disc box set you’ve been yearning for stubbornly refuses to come down in price.

What makes a good deal? It might be something as simple as a price drop or, it could be a buy-one-get-one free deal. Music streaming services such as Amazon Music Unlimited sometimes offer three or four months of the service at a discounted price, while some deals will come with an added gift, giving you more for your hard-earned cash.

Here at Louder, we’re doing our bit by highlighting the best online Black Friday music deals to help steer you in the right direction, so keep this page bookmarked and keep checking back regularly.

Best Black Friday music deals: Where to find them
